To put it bluntly, Dawn saved my life. Literally saved my life. She was there when the medical professional let me down when I was begging for help because I was dying from anorexia. I put all of my trust in Dawn and she held my hand all the way through facing my fear of food and gaining weight. Everyone surrounding my had tried tirelessly to get me to eat even the smallest of things but I just wouldn’t do it. Yet there was something about Dawn that meant I felt safe to put all of my trust in her and when she told me I had to eat if I wanted to live I did it. But it wasn’t just the food side of things Dawn helped me with. She gave me my life back. I went from exercises for 6 hours a day and never sitting down to exercising in a healthy way, being able to have days where I just lay in bed having a duvet day, going out to parties and meals, going clothes shopping and not hating what I looked like. She took the focus away from food which in turn made me feel more comfortable with it all. I went from a quiet mouse who was scared to speak and scared to be seen back to being bubbly and bright and having confidence when I walked into a room. It takes a special person to change someone from being scared of drinking water through fear it will make them gain weight to being able to have a takeaway then go straight out afterwards for a night out wearing a skin tight dress while drinking cocktails with the only care being about how much fun they’re having. That’s how life changing Dawn is. A beautiful person inside and out who won’t judge you, will guide you all the way if you trust her and will be honest with her and can change your life. She saved my life.
