You also need to understand why it is important to have the right balance of good carbs proteins and essential fats.
* Eat plenty of veg Eating a variety of vegetables each day ensure you’re getting all of the minerals, vitamin C, potassium and fibre you need.
* Eat plenty of whole-grain foods and fibre and make sure you eat regularly and drink plenty of water daily.
* When looking to increase your protein intake, there are lots of alternatives to meat. There are other good sources of protein such as fish, beans, pulses, protein powders and supplements.
