With more people than ever before wanting to become healthy today, we’re going to look at how paying attention to your nutrition and diet can play a huge role in this.
Most people just focus on keeping fit through physical activity, however, the improvements you’ll see through this will be limited if you’re not paying attention to your nutrition.
So when I say ‘right nutrition’, what do I mean?
Well, essentially, in a sentence, it means that you’re getting all of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that your body needs to perform at its optimal level.
Careful planning and preparation are required to ensure that daily, you’re meeting all of the requirements when it comes to nutrition.
So how can you go about ensuring that you’re on the right track when it comes to your journey?
Make sure you understand your daily requirements including knowing how to read and understand food labelling.
You also need to understand why it is important to have the right balance of good carbs proteins and essential fats.
* Eat plenty of veg Eating a variety of vegetables each day ensure you’re getting all of the minerals, vitamin C, potassium and fibre you need.
* Eat plenty of whole-grain foods and fibre and make sure you eat regularly and drink plenty of water daily.
* When looking to increase your protein intake, there are lots of alternatives to meat. There are other good sources of protein such as fish, beans, pulses, protein powders and supplements.
